Steampunk is a style that involves steampower still being in use while putting a futuristic spin on things. Its a style that I am fond of and they have some beautiful jewellery available in this style. This is why I am so undecided on this watch. It seems to be mixing in the punkish leather cuff with the mechanicalness of the steampunk style which I'm not too certain of how successful that idea was. The watch face is also lacking the steampunk style. Normally there is even more elaborate detail. Another thing that I'm not too fond of is the colour scheme... Steampunk is known for the brass and copper type colours so the black and silver detract from the steampunk side of things.

That being said, when I view this as a punk/grunge watch with a steampunk edge to it, its actually not that bad. I have seen much more successful steampunk watches so know that there are better examples out there.

PeeMonster - Of Love He Spoke

PeeMonster is another one of my favourite artists. His work often uses young children as the subjects, which is probably what makes it so striking. I adore this picture because you can literally see the child on the left spitting with pure venom and hatred while the child on the right calmly holds nothing but a flower. I also like the child on the lefts stance, it looks like he has been captured that split second before springing himself at his mate. The reason I call them mates is because they look like they were friends before or possibly were at some point previously. Had they been enemies, they would have been further apart and there would have been a less 'patient' look on the right childs face. Another aspect that I like is the lack of colour... It works well in this picture and keeps the focus on the fight which is about to happen
