Wolf (SA Gothic namebrand) Wolf make the most amazing Gothic couture. They are responsible for the clothes in this image too, but my main focus is on the most incredible neck piece... It looks to be quite a restricting article and hardly practical for everyday wear but that is excusable in my opinion because this takes jewellery from being a mere accessory to being an artform. A great description is that it goes from you wearing the item to the item wearing you.
I love the way the head is framed by the metal, creating the Dracula collar effect. Overall its a beautiful piece. and i do love wolf... (

Digital Painting

"The woman in the red dress is suffering and wants to be relieved, but she doesn't notice she is the one who afflicts herself"

There is just so much red... The wide format of the picture creates the illusion of lots of space which makes the woman seem even smaller amidst all the red fabric. She starts to look lost and insignificant. It becomes a hopeless situation for her; there is no way that she will manage to free herself from it all. And what makes it even more ironic is (as the quote says) she is doing it to herself.

I am really uncertain about this piece... I quite the idea of the barbed wire cross, it kind of adds a different edge to the standard cross but this piece doesn't execute the idea particularly well in my opinion. The first thing that falls flat is the way it is displayed and laid out, the black 'chain' is just looped around itself. It hardly looks appealing. The worst part would have to be how it is attached to the chain... A massive loop at the top of the cross! It is so large that it appears as though it should be part of the design. Altogether its really rather average.

- Delfina Delettrez

An amazing jeweller renowned for her macabre yet tasteful style... Shit expensive (you will be in for about R195000)... understandably though as those are real diamonds and rubies...

Its a completely impractical piece, but I would be quite happy not having the use of my fingers so long as I was wearing this. Its just such a beautiful item! I love the fact it's totally unique even though the idea of bones in jewellery is seen so often. It just makes me happy...

- David Stoupakis (one of my fave artists out)

Some might recognise this from a Korn album...
I dont know what it is about this pic but I really love it. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland (i think thats because of the bunny though...)
The kids eyes are so piercing and you cant help wondering who pulled the teddies head off, was it the him or the horse, and if it was him, then who/what made him do it and why... So many questions dammit!
The typical dark sky in the background just brings out the kids face even more.
David Stoupakis also uses this kid as a subject quite a lot which again just makes him all the more mysterious...
